RECIPE OF THE WEEK
Chili Baked Potato Casserole is an offshoot from Wendy’s Restaurant that once offered a chili baked potato on their menu. My family loved Wendy’s chili baked potatoes so much that we’d often swing through the drive-up window and bring a whopping size bag of them home for dinner. When I realized I could make an even better chili baked potato for less money at home, I went to the kitchen and created the same chili baked potato dish in casserole form that quickly became our new family favorite. Make this casserole your own by using the canned chili you like most, or top it with chopped fresh tomato, salsa or jalapenos for some real pizzazz. This simple-to-make casserole will fill you with warmth from the inside out during frosty fall and winter months.

AN APPLE A DAY BOOSTS YOUR HEALTH!
Fall’s most popular–and most nutritious–fruit can…
Protect your bones! French research suggests phloridzin, a flavonoid found only in apples, may increase bone density and protect against osteoporosis. Woman’s World Magazine, October 22, 2012, Number 43.
BURN MEGA CALORIES WITH PEANUT BUTTER
Women who eat one to two tablespoons of peanut, almond or cashew butter daily weigh about four pounds less and have waistlines that are nearly an inch smaller than those who don’t, reports the Journal of the American College of Nutrition. Credit goes to nut butters’ rich supply of healthy monounsaturated fats (which rev your metabolism) and protein and fiber (which fill you up and keep you satisfied for hours). Even better: The same study shows that having a peanut-butter habit lowers your risk of heart disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Woman’s World Magazine 2012 Number 35
P.S. If this is true, I should be really skinny!
